Absolutely Yes! Transferring to your next institution with an associate degree gives you many benefits and privileges. Take advantage of transfer agreements NCC has already set up. Many 4-year institutions accept the AA or AS degree as a package.

With an associate鈥檚 degree your General Education Requirements will be considered met. Taking as many credits as you possibly can at NCC will save you money in the long run. The tuition at NCC is lower than a 4-year institution. In case you have to put you bachelor鈥檚 degree on hold, you will still have an associate鈥檚 degree from NCC.

There is also a guaranteed admission to a SUNY four-year campus for New York students transferring directly from NCC with an associate鈥檚 degree, though not to a particular program or major. There may be additional scholarship money when you transfer with an associate鈥檚 degree.

If you are not sure of the answers to these questions, please make an appointment to meet with a Career Counselor at the Career and Transfer Counseling Office. The counselors at the Career and Transfer Counseling Office can help you discover a variety of career possibilities that are appropriate for you.

If you already know what you want to study but need help transferring to a different college or if you have questions, please make an appointment with a Transfer Counselor in the Career and Transfer Counseling Office. The Transfer Counseling staff assists NCC students in planning their transfer from 每日吃瓜 to four-year institutions of higher education.

Transfer applicants generally have a deadline of around four months before the semester starts to submit applications for the following Fall or Spring semester. Schools with rolling admissions policies which is looking at applications as they come in, will accept applicants until all spots have been filled.

Some colleges may continue to accept applications even later, depending on how many open slots remain. However, virtually all rolling admissions schools recommend that you get your application in as early as possible to have the best chance at being accepted. It is important to have your application complete by the required deadline. Each school will have the application deadlines posted on their admissions page. 每日吃瓜 are encouraged to apply early.

For Current NCC students: Log into the MyNCC Portal. Go to the Launchpad on the left and click on the MYRECORDS folder. Click on 鈥淥rder Official Transcript鈥� and fill out the online form. Credentials Solutions changes a fee per transcript.

Former NCC 每日吃瓜: If you have not attended NCC in the last 24 months, you can get temporary access to the MyNCC Portal. If you need assistance, please contact the Help Desk 516.572.0629.

• A class were you received a grade under a 2.0 (under a C) does not transfer.
• Remedial (developmental) courses where you get a pass or fail grade are also not accepted as transfer credits.
• Classes where the college does not have an equivalent course may not transfer. It is the decision of your transfer intuition as to what classes they will accept.

Some colleges and universities will post transfer course equivalencies on the school鈥檚 website. Course equivalencies are tables of courses that are transferable among institutions.

In order to receive credit at your transfer campus for a course completed at NCC, that course must first be determined to be "equivalent" to a course offered at your transfer campus. Final determination of transfer credit acceptance is ultimately made by the transfer institution registrar. You must submit official transcripts of all completed coursework before a final determination can be made. No guarantee exists that a particular course taken at NCC will be permitted to substitute for a particular course at your transfer college.

If the school has their own application, we recommend you use that one. If you are only applying for SUNY or CUNY schools, use their applications. The Common Application is a third party service that allows you to submit your applications to several different colleges. The benefit is that the students fill out responses to questions that all of these institutions have in common once, thus making the application process more efficient.
